Chart of accounts
The University Chart of Accounts is effective as of the 1 May 2024. The Chart of Accounts is available in reference documents.
All financial transactions must be recorded in a comprehensive set of properly classified accounts. These accounts cover the University's income, expenditure, assets and liabilities. Expenditure accounts, for example, include salaries, materials, publications, travel, maintenance, fuel, advertising and so on.
An account must also have the same meaning across the whole of ES Financials to facilitate the consolidation of activity across the General Ledger.

| To search the chart of accounts, open the file and press CTRL + F. This will bring up a "Find" dialog box. Type in a keyword for the account you wish to find and select "Next". Continue clicking "Next" to scroll through the accounts matching your search criteria. |
